Visiting Lecture: Rochelle Steiner, Do Ho Suh Drawings

Curator, writer, and professor Rochelle Steiner will discuss artist on view Do Ho Suh’s works on paper and architectural installations. In both traditional and nontraditional media—including pencil, ink, watercolor, lacquer, rubbings, architectural renderings, and “thread drawings”—Suh’s expansive drawing practice addresses issues of self-identity and personal space, states of transition, a longing for home, and questions about place and purpose in the world. Steiner is lead author of Do Ho Suh Drawings, 2014, the first English-language monograph of the artist’s work, focused on his drawings.

A book signing with Steiner and Do Ho Suh will immediately follow the talk.
