Do you have books—old or new—that you’d like to turn into works of art? Learn how to transform books into works of art, using collage, painting, drawing, ink, and printmaking. Explore using book pages as a base, and how to assemble altered books into a journal or art piece. Goals of this course include learning to upcycle and recycle old books into unique works of art, developing skills in various 2D and 3D art techniques, and understanding the value of sustainability in art-making. Participants will take home their altered book journals and art pieces, along with knowledge and inspiration for future creative projects. The workshop is suitable for beginners.
