Students will learn to create a minimum of two cold-connected jewelry pieces in this six week class. Learn the basics- sawing, piercing, hammering and riveting to create a multiple layer project with the inclusion of alternative materials, if the students desire. For your final project, create a tab set pair of earrings or pendant with a flat backed stone, or found object of your choice. This final project will fine tune your sawing skills, and teach you how to encapsulate objects with ease and minimal tool purchasing. This course does not include fire/soldering, but will teach you the skills needed to continue to create jewelry within your home with professional metal-smithing tools.
