Color Theory: Complementary Colors

Adults

Explore optical illusions, subliminal advertising, and the visual effects of complementary color schemes. Using just six colors, students will layer, shade, and create still life drawings from both life and photographs with colored pencils. Along the way, the class will examine how rods, cones, and the psychology of color influence perception.
