From his early abstractions to his figurative work and luminous Ocean Park series, Richard Diebenkorn was a pacesetter. Part of a group known as the California Artists, who expressed their landscape through color, shape, and composition, Diebenkorn created paintings full of the colors and shadows of ocean, sky, sand, and sun. Learn how he saw the world, mixed color, and applied paint to achieve brilliant works of art.
