Next Gen Creatives (ages 14-18)
Ages 14-17
This class is ideal for teens who are passionate about artmaking and curious about a future in the art world. In this week-long intensive, students will develop skills to create a public artwork and engage in conversation with arts professionals to explore career opportunities. Students will build relationships with like-minded peers, create artwork that will be temporarily installed on the Art School grounds, and participate in discussions and hands-on activities to explore their future.
The June class will work in mosaics and the July class will learn metalworking techniques to execute their project.

All supplies provided! Bring a healthy snack for break time. Dress for mess. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required for wood, metal, stone, or other sculpture classes. Eye and ear protection is provided, but some students prefer to bring their own which you are welcome to do. No early drop-off or late pick-up. Children are under parental supervision and responsibility on the Museum’s grounds before, between, and after classes.
