Saturday Sampler: Choose Your Own Art Adventure

Join us for an afternoon of creativity at the Art School at Laguna Gloria! Our Saturday Sampler classes take place every Saturday from 1-4pm, and each explore a different art medium. These classes are geared towards beginners, though all levels are welcome. Our café on-site Spread and Co has partnered with us to create unique brunch themed drinks and bites each Saturday for purchase! This is the perfect opportunity to try something new and get familiar with our wonderful teachers, without investing in a more in-depth class. Grab a latte or mimosa, explore our beautiful grounds on Lake Austin, and spend a Saturday afternoon with us creating in our studios! No membership required.

Choose Your Own Adventure
Inspired by the gamebooks of the 1980s and 90s, in which the reader makes choices on the direction of the story, this session asks the class to select artworks in a meandering exploration of art history. Cast your vote on which material, subject, genre, or era you prefer to view, and group decisions will collectively and organically determine our journey. We'll collaborate in asking questions, drawing, writing, and finding thematic links between seemingly unrelated objects.
