Smoke-Fired Primitive Pots


Take a break from the 21st century and learn how clay vessels have been built throughout history. With your own two hands plus a few simple tools, pots can be made large or small, humble to exquisite by using basic forming techniques. Explore ways to add a personal touch to your work while investigating early clay forms. With close instruction, participate in a simple smoke firing process to complete the primitive look. All levels are welcome.

The full supply list for your course may be found HERE. The Art School sells 6 clay bodies including most of the ones recommended by our instructors. This option will be available during checkout, and if you purchase your clay while registering it will be ready for you the first day of class. Basic tool kits are also available for purchase.
