Urban Nature Sketching

Adults

Develop or sharpen observational drawing skills both in the classroom and outside on the picturesque Laguna Gloria grounds. This all levels class will focus on capturing the intersection of architecture and the natural environment using graphite, pen & ink, and watercolor or liquid ink. The class will begin indoors for a basic overview of linear and atmospheric perspective drawing skills and common urban sketching and nature sketching practices using pen & ink and watercolor. If weather permits, the class will spend time outside gathering source images or sketching en plein air. If weather does not permit outdoor sketching, the class will remain indoors and work with instructor-provided reference images captured on site at Laguna Gloria.
