Biophilia, Björk’s cutting-edge music project, explores where art, nature, and technology meet. Filmed at a concert in 2013, Biophilia Live (97 min.) features Björk and her band performing every song on her Biophilia album using a variety of instruments—some digital, some traditional, and some completely unclassifiable.
The evening starts with When Björk Met Attenborough (48 min.), a documentary that follows Björk and broadcaster/naturalist David Attenborough as they investigate the connections between music and nature. Narrated by Tilda Swinton, this making-of film is a unique encounter between two iconic thinkers. Both films are Austin premieres.
