Green Screen Film Series Double Feature: When Björk Met Attenborough + Biophilia Live

NOTE: This event is now SOLD OUT and there will be no tickets available at the door.

As part of the Green Screen Film Series, we celebrate Tom Friedman’s monumental new sculpture Looking Up with cinema in the outdoor amphitheater at Laguna Gloria. Come early and picnic at dusk.

Double feature with intermission. Gates open at 7P, films start at dark around 8:45P. Picnics are welcome and guests are encouraged to bring a camp chair or blanket.

Biophilia, Björk’s cutting-edge music project, explores where art, nature, and technology meet. Filmed at a concert in 2013, Biophilia Live (97 min.) features Björk and her band performing every song on her Biophilia album using a variety of instruments—some digital, some traditional, and some completely unclassifiable.

The evening starts with When Björk Met Attenborough (48 min.), a documentary that follows Björk and broadcaster/naturalist David Attenborough as they investigate the connections between music and nature. Narrated by Tilda Swinton, this making-of film is a unique encounter between two iconic thinkers. Both films are Austin premieres.
