Open for Discussion: The Whisperers

Come together with other lovers and learners of contemporary art to view the current exhibition Tarek Atoui: The Whisperers. You’ll be guided by an expert facilitator to stimulate discussion and answer questions as you go. Afterward, take part in a small group-led conversation about sound art, musical and artistic collaboration, and the use of various new and originally created technologies and materials.

About Alex Keller:
Alex Keller is an audio artist, sound designer, curator, and teacher based in Austin, Texas. His work in the media of performance, installation, and recorded release reflects his interests in architecture, language, abstraction, and music. Alex received a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1995 and an MLA from St. Edward’s University in 2005. He is a founding member of Phonography Austin and the Mimeomeme collective, serves on the boards of several arts organizations, and hosted Commercial Suicide, Texas’ longest-running experimental music program, for eleven years.
