Every second Saturday of the month, The Contemporary Austin offers hands-on art-making workshops at Laguna Gloria, inspired by the exhibitions on view. Join us between 11A–3P to see family-friendly performances, meet local artists, and make art to take home. Recommended for ages 2–11.

Create clay characters for your own fairy-tale adventure, inspired by Jim Lambie’s fantastical Secret Affair (Gold) sculpture, installed on the grounds of Laguna Gloria. Set your story in motion at our pop-up animation station, hosted by Johnny Villarreal!

Budding young artists joined The Contemporary Austin for the art-making workshop Fantastic Films on August 8, 2014. Kids created their own paper cutout fairy-tale adventures and set their stories in motion at a pop-up animation station hosted by Johnny Villarreal and The Edge of Imagination Station.
