Susurrus

Part radio play, part stroll in the park, part lesson in bird dissection, part musical recital: Susurrus, by Scottish site-specific artist David Leddy, is a play without actors or a stage and with an audience of one—you. Customized for the Laguna Gloria site, Susurrus is a sensual tale with a contemporary edge, loosely inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream. After critical acclaim and sell-out audiences around the world, Susurrus comes to Laguna Gloria for a limited time only.

Audio players and maps are available from visitor services during Laguna Gloria gallery hours, Tuesday–Sunday 10A–4P. Hours are extended on Wednesday, June 18 and June 25, from 10A–8P. In conjunction with performances of Music for Wilderness Lake, hours are also extended on Friday, June 27 (10A–7P), and Saturday, June 28 (7A–4P).

General: $10, Members: $5

Listeners are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes and long pants for this walking play, lasting approximately 1-2 hours, through Laguna Gloria’s diverse, environmentally sensitive trails. Appropriate for audiences 16 years and older. Tickets are sold every 15 minutes with the last tickets available 1.5 hours prior to each day’s closing time.
