Teacher Workshop: Art-Inspired: Sharing Visual Art with Students and Writing as a Way of Seeing

In sessions led by educators from The Contemporary Austin and the Austin Public Library Friends Foundation’s Badgerdog Creative Writing Program, teachers will discover creative techniques for engaging students with works of art, designing writing activities around visual art, and enhancing writing instruction more broadly.

Teachers will construct dynamic learning prompts, receive interdisciplinary lesson plans, and earn five hours of TEA-approved continuing professional education credit. Lunch will be provided.
