Every ten years, at the Skulptur Projekte Münster, international artists investigate the relationship among art, the public realm, and the urban environment through the presentation of new, site-specific works in the city of Münster, Germany.
At the same time, these projects point far beyond the city limits, as participating artists address topics of relevance to the global present and reflect on contemporary concepts of sculpture. The fifth Skulptur Projekte Münster takes place from June 10 to October 1, 2017, with artistic director Kasper König (who has been involved in each exhibition since 1977) and curators Britta Peters and Marianne Wagner.
Peters will give a brief introduction into the history of the exhibition and discuss the plans for the next edition in 2017, which will consider the relationship between the public and private realms in times of increasing digitalization.
