For this immersive experience, Maravilla will activate the installation Mariposa Relámpago, a sculpture he has turned into a large-scale vibrational healing instrument.

Josh and Matt want to make a show that explores the theatrical and social potential of treadmills. But here’s the hitch: All of their work developing this show has to occur ON motorized treadmills. For 18 hours over Fusebox weekend, they’ll never stop moving along America’s favorite instruments of atonement. For this month’s HOST: Fusebox program we are delighted to present a multimedia performance with artist Jim Findlay and guest collaborators Jim Dawson and Cyrus Moshrefi.

This performance will occupy all floors of the Jones Center, with Lubaina Himid’s work as a stage. The audience is invited to be immersed by both works, traveling up and culminating at the Rooftop, followed by a reception.

Mariposa Relámpago is the artist’s largest sound-healing sculpture. At the sound bath, the artist and sound healers will play the gongs to active the work and create an immersive soundscape, restoring calm and balance to those in attendance.

Part music, part theatre, part collective exploration, NOCTURNE is a dynamic musical performance that will unfold across the indoor and outdoor spaces of Laguna Gloria. From ancient maps and optical instruments to modern spectroscopy, the audience will sonically and visually experience how people have seen the sky throughout history, exploring what has both guided and puzzled philosophical and scientific imaginations across time.
