The artist unveils an experimental light performance at the Jones Center

Join artist Leo Villareal as he unveils a temporary light performance at the corner of 7th Street and Congress Avenue using the signature LED-lit glass blocks of the Jones Center, The Contemporary Austin’s renowned downtown site designed by Lewis.Tsurumaki.Lewis Architects. In this special experimental performance, Villareal will be controlling the Jones Center lighting system in person via laptop while standing amid viewers and passersby on the street. This happening is a trial run for a future permanent light installation by the artist for The Contemporary Austin – Jones Center. The event begins Saturday, March 8, 8P, on the corner of 7th St. and Congress Ave. We invite the public to join us!
