Parent & Child, Ages 4–5, Ages 6–8
Picasso famously said it took him 25 years to paint like Raphael and a lifetime to paint like a child. He wasn’t talking about scribbling-- he was recognizing a child’s natural ability to create freely, authentically, and without self-judgment.
Children make art to explore, regulate, and connect with themselves. In the creative process, they can settle into the present moment without worrying about outcomes.
Using a variety of mixed-media materials, families will be invited into a unique, process-centered environment where curiosity leads the way. Relax your bodies, enjoy art materials for their own sake, and rediscover creative trust with your child as your guide. Together, you'll experience art as a practice of connection and expression.
