ART SCHOOL / CLASS LISTINGS

Beginning Metalworking

Adults

Learn welding, cutting, and grinding as you create steel sculptures in this foundational class. Basic MIG welding, fabrication techniques and safe work practices will be taught and emphasized throughout the class. This class must be completed before taking advanced metalwork classes.

Students who need to miss either of the first two sessions should not register for the course.

Warning: Magnetic fields found in this class can be harmful to pacemaker wearers. Pregnant welders are at risk of suffering adverse pregnancy outcomes. If you have a pacemaker or are pregnant or may become pregnant, we advise against registering for any metalworking classes with the Art School.

Fall 2023 registration includes access to Saturday afternoon (1-4P) Open Studio. Open Studio is a time to work on projects and practice techniques outside of class hours. A sign-up link will be sent out once class begins!
