Children's Book Illustration Lab

Come with ideas for some images you’d like to develop for a children’s book. In this hands-on class we’ll develop one or more of your ideas into an effective storyboard thumbnail, then a more developed b&w sketch, and finally, a sample of color final art for those interested in exploring the medium of traditional watercolor for their illustration. Use this class to begin your illustration portfolio. Along the way, we'll touch on the essential topics: *putting together and submitting the picture book dummy * differences between children’s book illustration and ‘fine art * Agents and art reps, editors, art directors and the ever-changing children’s publishing art market
