Color, Perception, and Painting

Adults

Beginning with traditional principles of color harmony we will proceed to more advanced principles of human color perception. In this nonrepresentational painting class, we will discuss contemporary painters who explore perception through color theory, geometric abstraction, minimalism, and Op art. Using writing, photographs, 3-D forms, and sketching as inspiration, we will create three finished paintings. Class includes demos on methods of contemporary painters. All supplies provided.
