Portrait Drawing (online)

Adults

Learn how to draw expressive, accurate portraits in this course designed for beginners and developing artists. Each week, students will explore the essential foundations of portrait drawing, including facial proportions, structure, shading techniques, and capturing likeness. Through guided demonstrations, step-by-step exercises, and individual feedback, students will build confidence in observing and translating the human face onto paper. By the end of the course, participants will complete several portrait drawings while developing practical techniques they can continue using in their own artwork. What to expect:

  • One hours of instruction and demonstrations
  • Two hours of guided work time to put techniques into practice
  • One-on-one instructor feedback
