Sketching at Laguna Gloria

Adults

Find inspiration in the rich botanical landscape of Laguna Gloria as you develop your sketching and drawing skills. Working outdoors (weather permitting) and in the studio, students will explore a variety of drawing materials, including graphite pencils, water-soluble graphite pencils, and felt-tip ink pens. Learn the fundamentals of taking strong reference photos and translating them into expressive drawings, with subjects ranging from towering trees and lush plants to delicate flowers and tiny lichens. Each week will feature a new botanical focus, encouraging close observation and creative exploration.
