Watercolor: Details in Nature

Adults

Discover the beauty of the natural world through watercolor. Using leaves, flowers, branches, seed pods, and other botanical specimens as inspiration, students will explore observational drawing alongside expressive watercolor techniques to create vibrant works on paper. Learn how to simplify complex forms, build luminous layers of color, and capture texture, light, and movement. Through demonstrations and guided exercises, we'll experiment with washes, wet-on-wet painting, dry brush, glazing, and lifting while developing strong compositions and a personal approach to interpreting nature.
