Members Curator-Led Tour
Join us for a curator-led walkthrough of Sable Elyse Smith: Clockwork, the 2026 recipient of the Suzanne Deal Booth / FLAG Art Foundation Prize. This is a special opportunity for Advocate Members and above to experience the exhibition.
Begin the evening with a complimentary happy hour from 6-6:30P, followed by an in-depth tour led by Julie Le, Assistant Curator and co-curator of the exhibition. This is the only Members Curator-Led Tour of Clockwork this season, providing rare insights into the themes, ideas, and creative processes behind the exhibition.
During the tour, guests will explore Smith’s multidisciplinary practice and its examination of systems of power, time, and control—key themes that shape the exhibition’s design, materials, and narrative. Spanning sculpture, video, neon, and works on paper, Clockwork brings together interconnected bodies of work from the past five years, including a new commission.
This evening is also an opportunity to connect with fellow Members and learn more about the expanded experiences available at this level, including off-site visits to artist studios, private collections, and other behind-the-scenes programs that engage with Austin's contemporary art scene and beyond.
Space is limited. Advance registration is required.
Rideshare is encouraged.
