SXSW Music Event: Boombox Retrospective

The SXSW Music Festival returns to The Contemporary Austin as part of Tom Sachs: Boombox Retrospective 1999–2015.

For three days, some of the most acclaimed and influential DJs and producers in electronic and hip-hop music—selected by SXSW Music and artist Tom Sachs—will use the functional, boombox-inspired sculptures in the artist’s immersive installation as their instruments to create music.

Admission: ALL AGES. Free and open to the public. SXSW badge and wristband holders receive priority access.

Doors open at 12P.

SXSW Interactive, Film, and Music badge holders receive FREE admission to The Contemporary Austin’s Jones Center and Laguna Gloria locations for the duration of the festival. Please note Laguna Gloria will be closed for a private event March 16–18.
