Join us at the Jones Center for an extra special edition of Rooftop Sessions featuring a DJ set by Supermcn4sty. Take a moment to experience current exhibitions Lubaina Himid: Make Do And Mend and HOST: Fusebox before they close on July 21 (Sun).
The event will start with a museum members-only tour from 6–6:30P. Online registration for the members-only tour has closed, but limited walkup tickets will be available.
While on the Rooftop, enjoy complimentary drinks and learn more about The Contemporary’s Art School with an art activity led by the Art School Director. Supermcn4sty, known privately as Dante (he/they), is an open-format DJ and producer based in Austin, Texas exploring musical genres from underground club music, house, techno, dance, hip hop, global club, R&B, dancehall, to various Latin style. He has held notable radio and club residencies, including Love Theory (2023), SZR (2022-2023), and Slow Jams Sunday (2021). Dante debuted at Boiler Room in Houston in 2022, and has played music festivals such as SXSW in 2022, 2023, and 2024 as an official artist. He has also organized benefit events for local and national nonprofits, including Creative Action ATX, Communities United Against Police Brutality, and Austin Black Pride.
