Celebrate the season with Rooftop Sessions: Holiday Stroll Market at The Contemporary Austin – Jones Center on Saturday, December 7th, from 6:30P to 8:30P. Step into a festive lit rooftop featuring a curated holiday market showcasing local vendors, family-friendly activities led by our Family and Community team, and music to set the mood. Holiday-themed drinks the whole family can enjoy will be available, making this a perfect outing for all family types.

This Rooftop Sessions event is held in conjunction with Downtown Austin Alliance’s 30th Annual Holiday Sing-Along & Stroll. Kick off your evening with the beloved tree lighting and sing-along on Congress Avenue between 8th and 11th streets, featuring artisan vendors, food trucks, photos with Santa, and more. Then, stroll over to The Contemporary to continue the festivities. Make a night of it as you ring in the holidays with this family-friendly downtown tradition!

Vendors Include:

  • Armonia. Home fragrances rooted in Latin gastronomy and places, alongside artisanal objects made once and never again.
  • Breakfast Friend. Artist, Bárbara Miñarro brings her lifelong fascination with handbags to life through Breakfast Friend, her new hand-painted handbag collection inspired by her teenage dreams.
  • EMSBRYNART. Handmade in Austin, Texas, Emily Bryn designs, prints, sources, and packages everything herself, donating 10% of immigration-related sales to grassroots organizations supporting migrants.
  • Sugar Penguins Treats. A cottage bakery in Round Rock, Texas that specializes in decorated sugar cookies, gourmet drop cookies, macarons, and cookie cakes, born from a lifelong passion for baking and a friend’s baby shower request.
  • Wilted Nurture. Queer-owned and crafted with heartfelt care in Austin, this clay artistry transforms challenging times into meaningful creations.

     
    While you’re here, explore The Contemporary’s current exhibitions, Carl Cheng: Nature Never Loses and HOST: Katarina Janečková Walshe.
