Second Saturdays Are for Families: Pinwheels: A Virtual Event

Since we can’t welcome you to the museum for our monthly Second Saturdays Are for Families program, we invite you to create at home with us!

For this month’s at-home activity, make a pinwheel inspired by Monika Sosnowska’s The stairs! Have you ever seen a work of art that looks like it could move, but it doesn’t? Even though Sosnowska’s sculpture looks like a pinwheel, it cannot move like one. Her art is made of heavy steel and sits firmly on the ground at Laguna Gloria, but it gives the illusion of motion.

Keep your eyes peeled on Saturday, January 9 on our Facebook and Instagram for links to participate in this month’s program!

In the meantime, let the search for your materials begin!
