Teacher Workshop: Boomboxes + Bricolage

Teachers explore the new exhibition Tom Sachs: Boombox Retrospective 1999–2015, then experiment with a variety of materials to create a sculpture inspired by the artist’s use of bricolage and manipulation of materials. Join Austin-based artist Dave Culpepper to learn new sculptural techniques and build on existing techniques.

Receive lesson plans, engage in hands-on activities, and discuss ways to incorporate contemporary art into your classroom. Earn Continuing Professional Education credit, transportation reimbursement, and a half-day substitute reimbursement for attending a Teacher Workshop.
